Quitting a job is a very unique experience. It can be dramatic, emotional and freeing. Sometimes it is planned down to the last detail and sometimes it's a spur of the moment decision. 

Author and journalist Matt Potter has spent 25 years studying these moments. In his latest book The Last Goodbye: A History of the World In Resignation Letters, he delves deep into the dramatic history of quitting.  

Matt tells Piya his own story of resignation and shares some of his favourite stories from his book.
