Canadian video artist Jillian McDonald spent much of the past year as 'artist in residence' at Glenfiddich Distillery, in the highlands of Scotland. As a Burns' Night tribute to both Art and Whisky, IDEAS host Paul Kennedy visits her in Dufftown, and watches while she makes single-malted art.
Jillian McDonald is a young Canadian conceptual artist who was born in Edmonton and raised in Winnipeg. She is currently living in Brooklyn, New York, and teaching at Pace University, where she co-directs the Pace Digital Gallery. Her work encompasses elements of video art, net art, performance art, installations and photography. Last year, she was one of eight artists from around the world to be awarded a residency at Glenfiddich Distillery, Dufftown, Scotland.
