On the Move from Bell Island: Crossing the Tickle

**This episode originally aired December 2, 2015.
It's only a 20-minute ride across 'the Tickle" — from Bell Island, in the middle of Conception Bay; to Portugal Cove, on the Avalon Peninsula, in eastern Newfoundland — but the Bell Island ferry is both a lifeline and the bane of every Islander's existence.
The Bell Island Ferry is being studied as part of much larger project called On The Move which is investigating work-related mobility issues across Canada, and around the globe. IDEAS is a media partner.

Guests in this episode:
- Sharon Roseman is a professor in the Department of Anthropology at Memorial University of Newfoundland
