A century ago, at the 11th hour, on the 11th day of the 11th month, the First World War ended with the signing of the Armistice.

On this day we remember over 66,000 Canadians who died on the battlefields of Europe in the First World War, and the more than 45,000 who lost their lives in the Second World War. We also mark the 65th anniversary of the Armistice that ended the Korean War and remember over 500 Canadian lives lost in that conflict.

We remember the contributions of all Canadians who have served and who continue to serve.
