The Wire is an eight-part radio series that aired in 2005 and explored the impact of electricity on music. Incorporating interviews, music and sound in an innovative way, The Wire is a totally immersive audio experience that's somewhere between a documentary and remixed music. It won a Peabody Award, the 2005 Prix Italia, and episode five won the Directors Choice Award at the Third Coast audio festival.
About the producer
Paolo Pietropaolo Paolo Pietropaolo is a freelance journalist, broadcaster, composer and writer based in Vancouver. Paolo's radio documentaries and productions have been awarded two Prix Italia and a Peabody Award – the highest accolades in broadcasting – as well as several other awards. Paolo's voice has been heard regularly on CBC Radio since 2001. He is currently the host of In Concert on CBC Radio 2.
