Jonathan McMurray: regaining memory through music

Jonathan McMurray woke up in hospital with no idea who he was. Not his name, not his parents - nothing at all. His entire life had been erased. Except music.

At 22, Jonathan McMurray was on top of the world. After a summer at home, he was heading back to university: young and excited for the future.

But that future was violently derailed as he drove down the Trans-Canada highway. A car tire popped and the vehicle skidded out of control. Jonathan flew through the windshield at 120 kilometres an hour... landing on his head.

The next thing he knew, he woke up in hospital with no idea who he was. Not his name, not his parents - nothing at all. His entire life had been erased.

But there was one particular thing that Jonathan slowly realized that he could remember: music. Click the link above to hear how Jonathan uses music to heal, and why he might need it more than ever.
