The comedy cop show Brooklyn Nine Nine is getting a Quebec remake called Escouade 99 — and this week, the world got a sneak peek when the show's trailer dropped.

But the two Latina characters in the original show are both played by white actors in the Quebec version.

Melissa Fumero, who plays Amy Santiago on Brooklyn Nine Nine, chastised the show for its casting decision.

Talhi Briones is an illustrator and author in Quebec, who was born in Chile. She isn't impressed with the decision either.

She drew a comic as an open letter to the producer of the show called "Latinos, whitewashing and Brooklyn Nine Nine."
