James Ellroy discusses his novel "Perfidia," which tells the tale of an investigation into the deaths of a Japanese-American family in the aftermath of Pearl Harbour.

James Ellroy is the man behind contemporary crime fiction classics like "The Black Dahlia" and "L.A. Confidential", which was adapted into an Oscar-winning film. James Ellroy's most recent novel,  Perfidia, is the first of a new series called The Second Los Angeles Quartet. Set in post-Pearl Harbour Los Angeles, it's the story of an investigation into the death of a Japanese-American family. Last fall, James Ellroy sat down with Brent Bambury for a wide-ranging interview about his new novel.
