Many parts of Canada are seeing significant jumps in COVID-19 cases — with some regions hitting code red status. Meanwhile, new vaccines and a treatment are on the horizon.

But a group of Alberta-based doctors say it's time for a circuit-breaker lockdown in order to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
