Cross-border special: Trump! Trudeau! Trade!

Just because Trump and Trudeau are trading barbs over tariffs, doesn't mean our two great nations can't work it out over the phone.

Live from Madison, Wisconsin, Cross Country Checkup co-hosts Duncan McCue (CBC Radio) and Rob Ferrett (Wisconsin Public Radio) took phone calls from Canada and the U.S.

Canadian and American callers called in to hash out their trade differences on everything from dairy to softwood lumber and steel.

Who is doing a better job on trade — Trump or Trudeau? Has the Canada-U.S. relationship changed? How do we avoid a trade war?

This is a special co-production between CBC Radio and Wisconsin Public Radio.
