As migrants crossing into Quebec continues to surge, Premier François Legault is asking the prime minister for help.

Legault wants a new migration deal with the U.S., as does Justin Trudeau; however, the U.S. is not in a rush.

U.S. Ambassador David Cohen told CBC News he'd rather address problems, and that irregular crossings are a symptom of a broad global migration challenge.
