It was referred to by many as a "botched" execution. Convicted killer Joseph Wood lay in the gurney in Arizona for two hours last month, dying. Now his lawyers have released a detailed log of what happened.
Among the details contained in the execution log, is the fact that Mr. Wood was injected 15 times over the course of the two-hour execution.

Mr. Wood's lawyer Dale Baich tells As It Happens guest host Laura Lynch that he suspected the State of Arizona was conducting a human experiment while they were executing Wood. He says the official log of the execution confirms this.

After two hours, Wood was executed on July 23rd, 2014. Many witnesses, including his lawyer, described him struggling, gasping for air and snorting before he finally died.
