A dramatic 9-1-1 call from a retirement home in Bakersfield, California, concerning an 87-year-old woman who collapsed, is garnering all sorts of reaction and calls for action. The woman, Lorraine Bayless, later died. Although it still isn't clear what exactly happened at Glendale Gardens, her death and the tape of that call have outraged California voters. And they're calling their lawmakers, like Mariko Yamada. She's the Chair of the California State Assembly Committee on Aging & Long-Term Care.
