A nine-month international manhunt is now over for a Dutch dentist wanted for defrauding, mutilating, and permanently disabling more than a hundred of his patients. Since Monday, police in New Brunswick have had Jacobus Marinus Van Nierop in custody. Arrested in the tiny town of Nackawic, he's now awaiting extradition. On Friday, he also confessed to killing his wife in 2006 during a detention review with the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada.

Until recently, Mr. Van Nierop had been performing dentistry in the Burgundy region of France. Some of his patients lost healthy teeth to unnecessary extractions, or had implants driven into the wrong parts of their jaws. Others were left with bits from dental tools lodged in their mouths. None of the allegations has been proven in court.

Margret Unenje was one of those patients. She knew her dentist as Doctor Mark Van Nierop. Today, she is celebrating his arrest. Carol speaks to her from her home in Burgundy.
