Charlottesville attack: vice mayor
When racists showed up in numbers for a rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, the city knew there would be trouble — but the killing of a counterprotester turned a terrible day into a tragedy. 

Bees study
A new study in the journal Nature Ecology and Evolution on honeybee decline concludes it's the queens who are being affected. But  the culprit is one you might recognize from previous research: pesticides.

A Halifax weather reporter got a great deal on bulk bananas at Costco — although he's pretty iffy on the free gift that was included, or included itself, in the bag: a scorpion.
