Part One

Saskatchewan shooting: student witness
The northern Saskatchewan town of La Loche is in shock after a shooting at the local school.

Saskatchewan shooting: Chief Teddy Clark
Teddy Clark is the chief of the Clearwater River Dene Nation, near La Loche. His daughter attends the school. We reached Chief Clark on his way to La Loche.

Saudi Arabia college
Algonquin College in Ontario also runs a campus in Saudi Arabia — and given that country's human-rights record, the faculty union says it should be shut down.

Ireland: 'Baptism Barrier'
An Irish mother tried to get her son into nine different schools and she says they all rejected him because they prioritize taking Catholic kids.

Part Two

Malaysian Winnipeg student
A Malaysian student at the University of Winnipeg had planned to return home, until a newspaper in his home country revealed that he was gay.

Frozen pants guy
If you live in Minneapolis, and you've seen articles of clothing standing around without people in them, you have Tom Grotting to thank: the inventor of frozen pants.

Part Three

Snow penis: Jamieson
A listener laments our falling standards, after a story out of Sweden that seemed off-base — but as we'll hear, this program's always been both off and base.

Bolivia lake
Dozens of families leave their homes around Bolivia's Lake Poopo, after the once-thriving body of water all but dries up.

Anti-abortion rally
Republican Carly Fiorina held an anti-abortion rally in Ohio at a botanical garden. She was joined by some special guests: daycare children. The problem is, they were just there to see the garden. And none of their parents gave permission.
