Canada Games legacy for Sherbrooke... and for young athletes

The 2013 Canada Games will have left their mark on the many athletes who competed, but also on the city of Sherbrooke.

Alison Brunette is our reporter in the Eastern Townships who covered the Canada Games for us over the past two weeks. She brought us some of the highlights of the Games, and who some of the provinces athletes are to watch for in the future.

Tom Allen is the president of the board of directors and of The Executive Committee of the 2013 Canada Games. He told us about the overall success of the Canada Games, and the legacy they leave on the city of Sherbrooke.

The last of the events of the Canada Games

5000-metre race in a kayak is no small feat

emilie-simard_sn635.jpgWhen you're competing in the Canada Games in your home town, you're sure to have a lot of support.

The five Kilometre races happening yesterday were the longest of the canoe and kayak races. Our townships reporter Alison Brunette was there as the women came off the water.
