Condo development in Sillery given the go-ahead
In December, Quebec's Culture minister Maka Kotto set out his plan for those vast domains in Quebec City known as the Sillery heritage lands. They're highly-coveted because they're mostly undeveloped and offer a spectacular view over the St. Lawrence River.
Over the long-term, the minister wants the power to designate and protect these heritage properties through legislation. But in the meantime, he gave the green light to one condo development on what's called the Domaine Woodfield.
That has citizens' organizations up-in-arms, including la Coalition pour l'arrondissement historique de Sillery. Charles-Robert Dionne is the group's vice-president, and joins us with more.
