Saguenay residents lukewarm to Arianne Phosphate project
The Arianne Phosphate exploration company has high hopes for its mine project north of Saguenay. But as it begins a series of public information meetings, objections are being raised by residents who live near the spot on the Saguenay river where the mineral will be shipped out.
Jean-Sébastien David, chief operating officer with Arianne Phosphate, explains the situation. We also hear from David Ellis. He has a home in L'Anse-à-Pelletier, next door to Saint-Fulgence, on the north side of the Saguenay River where Arianne Phosphate is considering the construction of facilities to ship the mineral from a projected apatite mine north of Saguenay.
