North Shore mayors say natural gas is crucial for economic development

For years mayors and business leaders on the North Shore have been saying getting access to natural gas is key for the region's economic development. Currently, Gaz Metro's pipeline only goes as far as Jonquière.
After some promising signs last year that Gaz Metro was open to expanding to the North Shore, the idea has since been shelved. But, mayors from the region are hoping to get things flowing again. Marika Wheeler is in Sept-Iles this week, looking into the economic situation and she joined host Susan Campbell on the phone this morning.
