The loss of Lac-Mégantic's Library and Archives

librarymegantic.jpgIn addition to the heartbreaking loss of life in Lac-Mégantic, many people are struggling with the loss of their downtown. The town has a rich history dating back to the 1870s, and much of the documentation of that history, including personal donations and irreplaceable negatives, were kept at the local library. The Library was destroyed in the explosion.

CBC's Marika Wheeler met with Diane Roy, the chair of the board of directors for the library.
