Beef and diary producers divided on re-launching local slaughterhouse

A new co-operative of Quebec beef and dairy producers is looking for support to inject millions to re-open a slaughterhouse near Drummondville. The Colbex-Levinoff plant closed in May 2012. It was the only major cull cattle abattoir in Eastern Canada.
