Les Serres Jardins-Nature's growing success

Even in the coldest, darkest months of the winter, the tomatoes in Les Serres Jardins-Nature in New Richmond are growing. In fact, in about a month, the first ones (sold with the "Symbiosis" label) will be ready for market. These are organic tomatoes, and in just 10 years, les Serres Jardins-Nature has grown to the point where it's selling to grocery stores across Quebec, Ontario and even the United States.

The operation employs about 26 people and is one of the little success stories of the economy along the Baie des Chaleurs. The CBC's Glenn Wanamaker recently visited their greenhouses, and brings us that story.
