Coroner's report recommends mandatory "swim to survive" classes

"Sink or swim" isn't just an expression - it's a reality. Many Quebecers don't have the basic swimming skills to save themselves if they accidentally fall into water.

According to a coroner's report released yesterday, many accidental drowning deaths could be avoided by implementing mandatory "swim to survive" classes. The Lifesaving Society's general director, Raynald Hawkins, tells Susan what these classes look like.
