Quebec panel recommends allowing some assisted suicides

Quebec's Commission on the question of Dying with Dignity says the province should allow doctors to help their patients end their lives, in some cases.

The recommendation comes after several years of public consultations and deliberations.

Susan speaks with Kathleen Chabot, of a group opposed to euthanasia, Vivre la Vie. Her husband passed away from cancer after receiving palliative care.

We also hear from Ghislain Leblond, who speaks for the Collectif mourir digne et libre. He has a degenerative neurological disease that is gradually leaving him paralyzed.
