A.J. Buckley

A versatile and prolific actor, AJ Buckley is equally adept at dramatic and comedy roles. Indeed, in his long and varied career thus far he has appeared in more than 30 feature films and numerous television series. He is probably best known to global television audiences for his acclaimed role as scientist Adam Ross on CBS's long-running crime series "CSI: NY."

Born in Ireland, Buckley migrated to Canada at the age of six. He spent his teenage years in British Columbia, where he began his acting career guest-starring on hit American shows such as "The X-Files" and "Millennium".

AJ recently played a major recurring role in the fifth season of FX's drama series, "Justified", working alongside Michael Rappaport. The new season of "Justified" premiered in the US in January 2014 on FX Networks.

Additionally, Buckley has returned to the season nine of CW's "Supernatural" to reprise his fan favourite role as Ed Zeddmore, the leader of a group of wannabe ghost hunters. This led Buckley to star, write, and direct the Warner Bros. original web series "The Ghostfacers".

Buckley has considerable interest behind the camera, as well as in front of it. He is a partner in Donnybrook entertainment, producing several television and feature projects, and has recently finished production in Louisiana on feature "Home Sweet Hell" from Sony Pictures, which he helped script, write and direct, as well as starring in.

AJ appeared alongside Katherine Heigl, Patrick Wilson, Jordana Brewster, Kevin McKidd and James Belushi at the top of the bill for the dark comedy, in which Heigl played the homicidal wife to cheating businessman Wilson. Buckley gained 45lbs to portray villain Murphy.

Thanksgiving 2015 saw the release of AJ’s latest movie, Disney PIXAR’s ‘The Good Dinosaur’, in which Buckley is a lead voice role alongside Sam Elliot and Anna Paquin as one of a trio of T-Rex’. AJ voices Nash,
with ‘a charming drawl’.
