Valerie Pringle

Valerie Pringle is featured in the following program(s):

Valerie's distinguished career was jump-started in 1974 at Toronto radio station CFRB. After a few short years, she landed her own show called The Pringle Program. In 1984, she moved to CBC where she co-anchored Midday for eight years before joining CTV's Canada AM in 1993. There she spent eight and a half years as co-host.

For the past three years, Valerie has been traveling the world as co-producer and host for the travel show Valerie Pringle Has Left the Building and she also hosted two seasons of Test of Faith for Vision-TV. Her latest adventure led her on a 13-day trek to Mount Everest's base camp where she filed live reports for the Discovery Channel's Daily Planet.

As the host of CANADIAN ANTIQUES ROADSHOW, Valerie helps guide viewers through the Roadshow process with the natural charm and warmth for which she is so well known. I wanted to do this show because I see it as a wonderful slice of Canadiana. I love the image of people with their family heirlooms and treasures telling their stories. It has a nice feel to me and, although it has been done elsewhere, I think that it will give viewers a sense of Canadians.

Some of Valerie's other credits include co-writer/producer and host of After the Fall, the clean-up of the World Trade Towers, for Discovery Channel and TLC. She's also a six-time Gemini Award nominee and winner of an Alumni Award of Distinction from Ryerson Polytechnic University, 1998, Television Arts program.
