Robin Brown

Robin Brown

Robin Brown is a sports fan with a curiosity about what makes athletes tick. Her favourite stories are about aspects of sports that don't normally make the front pages, such as Catriona LeMay Doan's spirituality or what motivates a scientist to catch drug cheaters.

Robin has been the host of Inside Track since 1995, although her time at CBC Radio dates back to 1988. She has worked as a news reporter in Thunder Bay, and the sportscaster for the CBC morning show in Winnipeg. She has also reported on many national and international sporting events, including the Olympics, the Grey Cup, the Commonwealth Games and the Brier.

Genetics may have attracted Robin to radio journalism. She grew up "in the wings," as her late father, Harry Brown, was an award-winning radio and television broadcaster.

Robin was born in St. John's, grew up in Toronto and received her BA from Queen's University, where she also played varsity soccer and hockey.

Robin and her husband, Tom, live in Toronto and enjoy a little friendly competition on the golf course.
