"Alone Together" and the Internet of Things with author Sherry Turkle

Beyond our fascination with building robots with human-like bodies, we also like our tech to appear to have human emotion. Our environment is full of toys, gadgets and tech that act as companions, or have some kind of "personality". She also speaks with Ben Bashford, an interaction designer, and Alexandra Deschamps-Sonsino, an interaction and industrial designer, about why we bother to put personality into our technologies at all.
