“Some people are going to be evacuated for a very long time,” Patty Hajdu, minister of Indigenous Services, told Power & Politics Wednesday, referring to the ongoing wildfires that are displacing people from their communities. “There is a huge amount of grief in terms of the disruption of traditional ways of being.”
