Allan Rayman knows he’s an enigma. “I’m a singer, not a talker,” the alternative musician announced to a screaming crowd at Toronto’s Danforth Music Hall while he skipped across the stage. It’s a statement that aptly sums up his artistry, as one can’t be sure if it’s Rayman who says those words, or if it is his alter ego, Mr. Roadhouse. He released Roadhouse 02, the most recent instalment of his Roadhouse album trilogy, in 2022, and it's one of his most personal albums. In a commanding performance, Rayman grieves the passing of a friend on “Ghosts” and questions aiming for greatness on “Good Enough.” For someone who doesn’t enjoy the spotlight — Rayman openly admits how shy he is to the crowd — he looks at home with a mic in his hand, and has concertgoers following his every move. Prepare to be entranced by the man of mystery and "have a good old time" with this live performance.
