When Dominique Fils-Aimé put out her first EP independently in 2015, she had no idea what she was putting in motion: a road that would lead to a Juno Award and two Polaris Music Prize short-list nominations. Seven years later, Fils-Aimé has released her now award-winning album trilogy, and in this stunning show at Koerner Hall the Montreal-based singer reaches across her career to perform songs from each project. "It's so touching to feel encouraged when you do what you love and you do it in a way that feels authentic and you refuse any boxes — you just decide to do whatever you want," Fils-Aimé told CBC Music.
