COVID-19 restrictions meant animal welfare groups that provide care for stray, injured and community-owned dogs were shut out of northern communities for months. As restrictions are lifted, HSI and Chiot Nordique are answering calls for assistance from these communities that are often located hours away from other veterinary services.
