Mae Martin: How being a ‘weird kid’ helped her get into comedy
28 days ago
Mae Martin is not your average comedian. Growing up in Toronto, Martin got hooked on stand-up at 11, was nominated for her first Canadian Comedy Award at 15, then after some career highs and personal lows, she relocated to the U.K. at 24 to try out the comedy scene there. Cut to 2020 and she’s now starring in her own semi-autobiographical Netflix series, Feel Good, which is about love and addiction.
