U of S biology professor warns of the hazards of pigeon droppings
Today we mine potash to create fertilizer. Not so long ago, though, people gathered it collecting bird droppings. One biology professor at the University of Saskatchewan says this was a toxic job -- one many people risked their lives doing. Susan Kaminskyj says workers need to protect themselves when clearing the droppings from Sid Buckwold Bridge. She spoke with Saskatoon Morning's Jennifer Quesnel.
