Psychology professor cautions against allowing emotion to draw readers into fake news
It's happened to most people at least once - you read something online and it instantly gets your blood boiling. It looks like news. It makes you emotional. But is it true? Gordon Pennycook is an assistant professor of behavioural science at the University of Regina. He's been studying the psychology of "fake news" - and wants people to be aware of what to watch for during this federal election campaign. He spoke with Saskatoon Morning's Jennifer Quesnel.
