Students advocate for menstrual products in Catholic schools
The Thames Valley District School Board will soon be offering menstrual products for free to those who need them. However, the London District Catholic School Board is not convinced young girls need access to free menstrual products in washrooms. Lucie McPhee attends school in the Catholic Board and Sarah Chun is the President of the Public Board Council of Ontario Student Trustee Association. They tell London Morning these products should be available for anyone who needs them, regardless of which school board they're in.
