Finding a home for the intellectually disabled at the Saskatoon YMCA
If you are a member of the YMCA, you've likely run into Jim Schwier. He may not hear you at times, because he is hearing impaired. He may not always understand you because of he has an intellectual disability. But Jim Schwier is always ready to work. In the more than 20 years he's been volunteering at the Y, he's done a variety of jobs. Karen Melberg Schwier and Rick Schwier are Jim's parents. They spoke with Saskatoon Morning's Jennifer Quesnel.
