Family of field nurse in 1950's republishing memoir
"When Days Are Long: A Nurse in the North" is the story a dedicated field nurse in 1950s-Yukon. Amy Wilson travelled the territory treating Indigenous people in tents and on the trapline. In the process she became an advocate for their rights. The new edition of her memoir includes an introduction by her grand-niece, Laurel Deedrick-Mayne, who spoke with guest host Elyn Jones.
