Why did escaped slaves move back to the U.S. after arriving in Canada?
When it comes to the Underground Railroad, most of us know that Canada — especially southwestern Ontario — was the final stop for many African Americans escaping slavery. But did you know many eventually moved back to the United States? Guest host Jonathan Pinto spoke with Manhattan College professor Adam Arenson. He's talking about his research on this reverse migration at the annual Buxton Homecoming History and Genealogy Conference in North Buxton on Friday.
