Alabama teen credits Mandi Schwartz memorial run and stem cell swab with saving her life

Saskatoon Morning

It's been eight years since Saskatchewan hockey player Mandi Schwartz died from acute myeloid leukemia. She didn't receive a stem cell donation in time...but her legacy lives on in an annual run and stem cell drive this weekend in Saskatoon. My next two guests are proof that the run and drive are paying dividends. Regan Brown is from Alabama. She had the same cancer as Schwartz, but she received a bone marrow donation from Michael Hellrich of Missouri. They spoke with Saskatoon Morning's Jennifer Quesnel.
