Abdominal obesity in Quebec has doubled in the past 30 years

Quebecers may have noticed their waistlines expanding over the last several decades, and a new study backs that up. Researchers with the Public Health Institute of Quebec have found that rates of abdominal obesity in the province have doubled in the last 30 years. We speak to Benoit Arsenault, the lead researcher on the study. He is an associate professor in the department of medicine at Laval University in Quebec City.
