Scientific balloons in Timmins

Morning North

Since 2013, Timmins has played host to a large group of scientists in the summer. The Canadian Space Agency and their counterparts from France team up to launch large balloons into the air from the Timmins Airport. From now until the end of September the team will launch stratospheric balloons. Those balloons will carry scientific equipment that will collect data for research. S├ębastien Lafrance is a Systems Engineer at the Canadian Space Agency. He spoke with the CBC's Peter Williams.
