Watchdog finds Trudeau violated conflict of interest rules in handling of SNC-Lavalin affair
The big political news this week is the release of the ethics commissioner's report into the SNC-Lavalin affair -- finding the Prime Minister broke ethics and conflict of interest rules in trying to convince the former Attorney General to give the giant engineering firm a deferred prosecution agreement in a corruption case. The commissioner found that the actions of Trudeau and some senior officials in pressuring Jody Wilson-Raybould amounts to a conflict of interest.
