Kenora youth pulls herself up into the upper ranks of Canadian rowers

Up North

Rowing is a sport that requires a lot of early mornings and dedication ... waking up at the crack of dawn to practice on calm waters. Abby Dent is a relative newcomer to the sport ... she only started rowing in 2015. But the Kenora, Ontario high school student has quickly climbed the ranks of Canadian rowers. She competed in the World Junior Rowing Championships in Tokyo last weekend and placed sixth overall in the junior women's single sculls final. Abby got home just a few hours ago, and she spoke with the CBC's Logan Turner about the experience.
