Quebec farmers say that littering is posing risks to the health of their animals

Daybreak Montreal

Some Quebec farmers are speaking out about people littering and how discarded garbage can be harmful, or even deadly for their animals. They say the garbage people toss along highways and rural roads ends up in the food their animals eat - including pieces of metal and aluminum from soda cans. We hear a clip from veterinarian professor Emile Bouchard and then speak to Jason Erskine. He's the regional representative for Dairy Producers of Quebec and a dairy farmer himself - based in Hinchinbrooke in the Chateauguay Valley.
