A lot of people look forward to buying Taber corn from stands and trucks in August. But, the corn season is already over for many farmers in the Taber area. A severe hail storm with winds up to 145 kilometres per hour destroyed corn and many other crops this week. One of the worst hit was a farm near Barnwell where James Molnar lost all of his corn and pumpkins within nine minutes. The third generation farmer and his wife have run Molnar's Taber Corn and Pumpkins for 16 years.
