Meet the City of Sudbury's Professional Sniffer

Morning North

Professional Sniffer is a job title you may not see on a lot of resumes. The city of Sudbury makes use of a sniffer to monitor its landfills. When the wind changes direction, some residents say the smell is forcing them indoors. The city says it does everything in its power to monitor the air around the landfill. They do that with a highly trained scent specialist or "sniffer." CBC reporter Casey Stranges visited the landfill with Kelsey Huffman and asked about the special skill she brings to her job.
