A Montreal city councillor wants the city to take a stand against the use of facial recognition technology. Facial recognition is the use of artificial intelligence to identify a person by analyzing the shape of their face and comparing it to a database. It's mostly used for security purposes -- the Toronto Star reported that police in that city and in Calgary are already using it. Some tech experts say this technology could be problematic.
