Je suis là: Newcomers to Quebec City become pop stars in viral video clip

Quebec AM

Clever lyrics, a catchy chorus, a punchy Afro beat, even their own signature choreography — Je suis là has all the makings of a summer hit. It was written and composed by students at Quebec City's Ecole St-Malo, and it's all about their path to Canada as young refugees. Their teacher, Nancy Fall, invited her students to channel their love of music, dance and sport into a year-end project. CBC's Julia Caron met with the teacher along with two of her young students -- 12 year old twins Rachel and David Baraka.
